Best Places to Vacation: Baja California, Mexico

December 29, 2014

Sounds like a pretty splendid trip, Stephen Orr of Condé Nast Traveler.

conde nast“Big waves,
wild horses,
palm trees,
no one else in sight.”

“I loved my trip to Baja California at the start of the year. We started in the coastal colonial town of Todo Santos with its beautiful pristine Pacific Ocean beaches (big waves, wild horses, palm trees, no one else in sight), then headed over the mountainous middle of the peninsula, stopping at El Triunfo, an old silver mining town with a great expat American pizzeria. Afterwards, we drove almost an hour down a dirt road to Cabo Pulmo, a sleepy town solely on the map for scuba divers because of its undersea marine park and reserve. Great diving. Giant schools of fish and groupers the size of a steamer trunk—and, before I forget, hands down the best fish tacos I’ve ever had.”
